Where we work around Gelligaer
In a town like Gelligaer, a single wall unit for a shop or a cassette for a surgery makes a real difference in summer. Newport, Gwent is about 20 km away.
That includes premises in CF82 and the surrounding districts. Nearby, we also cover Blackwood (about 3 km), Pontypridd (about 9 km) and Caerphilly (about 10 km).
We plan installations in Gelligaer so the noisy work — core drilling, ceiling access, lifting plant — happens when it disturbs your business least.
For servicing and repairs in Gelligaer, roof and high-level access is planned in advance, so the visit is not wasted waiting for a tower or a key.

Things to check in Gelligaer
Neighbours and noise
Outdoor units near flats — common above shops — need careful siting so noise at neighbours' windows stays low. We choose positions and quieter units with that in mind.
Access and parking
Town-centre jobs in Gelligaer often come down to access — loading restrictions, parking for the van and getting equipment onto a roof. We check this at survey and plan deliveries around it.
Shared buildings
In multi-let buildings, roof space, risers and plant areas are often controlled by a managing agent. We work to their permits and method-statement requirements.
Leased premises
If your Gelligaer premises are leased, the landlord's written consent is usually needed for external units, wall penetrations and roof access. We provide drawings and data sheets for the request.
In Wales, systems holding 5 tonnes CO2 equivalent of refrigerant or more fall under GB F-gas rules, with regular leak checks and records; buildings with more than 12 kW of air conditioning in total also need a periodic energy inspection.
Questions from businesses in Gelligaer
How much does commercial air conditioning cost in Gelligaer?
A single wall-mounted split typically costs £1,395–£2,350 plus VAT installed in Gelligaer, and a ceiling cassette £2,050–£4,695 per unit. A small shop or office with two to four indoor units usually comes to £4,695–£15,695 plus VAT.
Do you also cover Blackwood, Pontypridd and Caerphilly?
Yes. Alongside Gelligaer, we also cover Blackwood, Pontypridd and Caerphilly. Each has its own page with local guide prices.
Is the survey free?
Yes, for new installations and replacements on the UK mainland. Service, repair and inspection visits are priced before we book them.
Which refrigerant do new systems use?
Most new small split systems use R32, because new single splits under 3 kg in Great Britain cannot use refrigerants with a GWP of 750 or more. Larger systems vary by equipment.
Can you work outside our opening hours?
Yes. Early starts, evenings and weekends can be arranged, and any extra cost is shown in the quote.
