Hindley and surrounding areas
In Hindley, typical premises are high-street shops, offices above them, surgeries, salons and local industrial units. Wigan is about 4 km away.
That includes premises in WN2 and the surrounding districts. We also work in nearby Wigan, Westhoughton and Leigh. In Hindley, outdoor unit positions are often the deciding factor: a rear flat roof or yard is usually straightforward, while a front elevation may need landlord or planning consent first.

How we work in Hindley
Check the void
We confirm void depth, grid size and any obstructions such as beams, sprinkler pipes or ductwork.
Set positions
Cassettes are placed against the lighting and grid layout so air reaches the whole space.
Hang and connect
Units are hung on drop rods, connected to pipework and the condensate line. In Hindley we agree timings around your opening hours.
Test and commission
The condensate pump is water-tested, the system pressure tested and charged, and air directions set.
Local points to consider
Cleaning access
Filters need cleaning regularly, so cassettes should be reachable with a step ladder.
Neighbours and noise
Outdoor units near flats — common above shops — need careful siting so noise at neighbours' windows stays low. We choose positions and quieter units with that in mind.
Ceiling grid
Compact cassettes drop into a 600 mm grid; full-size units need the grid adapting around a larger panel.
Conservation areas
Historic streets and listed buildings in and around Hindley are more likely to need planning permission for outdoor units on visible elevations. We check with the local planning authority before work is booked.
Typical premises in Hindley
- Healthcare and dental: clean, quiet cooling for surgeries, clinics, dental practices and care settings.
- Gyms and leisure: high-capacity cooling and fresh air for gym floors, studios and changing rooms.
- Pubs and bars: cooling for busy bars, function rooms and cellars, sited with neighbours in mind.
- Retail and shops: comfortable shop floors, stockrooms and entrances, even with the door open.
Compliance in England: refrigerant work falls under GB F-gas rules, and buildings with more than 12 kW of air conditioning in total need a periodic energy inspection (often called TM44).
Common questions from businesses in Hindley
How much does a ceiling cassette cost in Hindley?

Do you also cover Wigan, Westhoughton and Leigh?
Yes. Alongside Hindley, we also cover Wigan, Westhoughton and Leigh. Each has its own page with local guide prices.
Which postcodes do you cover in Hindley?
All of them, including WN2. Give us your postcode when you enquire and we will confirm the visit details.
How noisy are ceiling cassettes?
At normal fan speeds modern cassettes are quiet enough for offices and restaurants. We select fan speeds and unit sizes so they are not working flat out.
Do I need a suspended ceiling for a cassette?
Yes, or a ceiling void with access. In solid ceilings a wall-mounted or ducted unit is usually the better option.
