Where we work around Croydon
Croydon sits within London's dense commercial fabric: shopfronts, offices above, studios and venues, where outdoor unit positions and access need careful planning.

How we work in Croydon
Survey
We size the unit to the room and agree indoor and outdoor positions and the pipe route. For sites in Croydon we confirm access and parking beforehand.
Mount the units
Indoor unit on a mounting plate, outdoor unit on brackets or a frame with anti-vibration mounts.
Pipe and wire
Pipework, interconnecting cable and condensate are run and made off neatly.
Test and commission
Pressure test, evacuation, any extra refrigerant charge, then commissioning and handover.
Local points to consider
Outdoor unit position
Outdoor units need air flow and access, and should be away from neighbours' windows to keep noise down.
Roof and height work
Flat roofs, high walls and atriums need the right access equipment and edge protection. We plan towers, MEWPs or scaffold before the job, not on the day.
Pipe routes
Shorter, simpler pipe routes are cheaper and more reliable. We plan routes before quoting.
Shared buildings
In multi-let buildings, roof space, risers and plant areas are often controlled by a managing agent. We work to their permits and method-statement requirements.
Typical premises in Croydon
- Warehouses and industrial: cooling for offices, mezzanines, control rooms and temperature-sensitive areas.
- Gyms and leisure: high-capacity cooling and fresh air for gym floors, studios and changing rooms.
- Retail and shops: comfortable shop floors, stockrooms and entrances, even with the door open.
- Pubs and bars: cooling for busy bars, function rooms and cellars, sited with neighbours in mind.
Two rules matter for most businesses in England: GB F-gas rules (leak checks from 5 tonnes CO2e) and the periodic energy inspection for more than 12 kW of air conditioning.
