Local points to consider
Refrigerant rules
Since 1 January 2025, new single split systems holding under 3 kg of refrigerant in Great Britain cannot use refrigerant with a GWP of 750 or more — in practice, R32 or lower.
Access and parking
Town-centre jobs in Ilkeston often come down to access — loading restrictions, parking for the van and getting equipment onto a roof. We check this at survey and plan deliveries around it.
One outdoor unit, many rooms
Multi-splits save wall space but share a single compressor. For server rooms or critical spaces we recommend dedicated systems.
Working hours
Most Ilkeston businesses prefer noisy work outside trading hours. Early starts, evenings and weekends can be arranged and are priced up front.
Types of premises we cover in Ilkeston
- Healthcare and dental: clean, quiet cooling for surgeries, clinics, dental practices and care settings.
- Gyms and leisure: high-capacity cooling and fresh air for gym floors, studios and changing rooms.
- Retail and shops: comfortable shop floors, stockrooms and entrances, even with the door open.
- Pubs and bars: cooling for busy bars, function rooms and cellars, sited with neighbours in mind.
In England, systems holding 5 tonnes CO2 equivalent of refrigerant or more fall under GB F-gas rules, with regular leak checks and records; buildings with more than 12 kW of air conditioning in total also need a periodic energy inspection.
