Points to plan for in Swansea
Sizing
The curtain should cover the full door width and reach the floor at the right velocity.
Access and parking
Town-centre jobs in Swansea often come down to access — loading restrictions, parking for the van and getting equipment onto a roof. We check this at survey and plan deliveries around it.
Controls
Door contacts stop the unit running when the door is closed.
Shared buildings
In multi-let buildings, roof space, risers and plant areas are often controlled by a managing agent. We work to their permits and method-statement requirements.
Types of premises we cover in Swansea
- Restaurants and cafés: dining rooms that stay comfortable next to a hot kitchen and a busy service.
- Warehouses and industrial: cooling for offices, mezzanines, control rooms and temperature-sensitive areas.
- Retail and shops: comfortable shop floors, stockrooms and entrances, even with the door open.
In Wales, systems holding 5 tonnes CO2 equivalent of refrigerant or more fall under GB F-gas rules, with regular leak checks and records; buildings with more than 12 kW of air conditioning in total also need a periodic energy inspection.
