Before you book in Kelso
Working hours
Most Kelso businesses prefer noisy work outside trading hours. Early starts, evenings and weekends can be arranged and are priced up front.
Conservation areas
Historic streets and listed buildings in and around Kelso are more likely to need planning permission for outdoor units on visible elevations. We check with the local planning authority before work is booked.
Roof and height work
Flat roofs, high walls and atriums need the right access equipment and edge protection. We plan towers, MEWPs or scaffold before the job, not on the day.
Neighbours and noise
Outdoor units near flats — common above shops — need careful siting so noise at neighbours' windows stays low. We choose positions and quieter units with that in mind.
In Scotland, systems holding 5 tonnes CO2 equivalent of refrigerant or more fall under GB F-gas rules, with regular leak checks and records; systems with an effective output of 12 kW or more also need a periodic energy inspection.
