How it works in Bishops Stortford
Check the void
We confirm void depth, grid size and any obstructions such as beams, sprinkler pipes or ductwork.
Set positions
Cassettes are placed against the lighting and grid layout so air reaches the whole space.
Hang and connect
Units are hung on drop rods, connected to pipework and the condensate line. In Bishops Stortford we agree timings around your opening hours.
Test and commission
The condensate pump is water-tested, the system pressure tested and charged, and air directions set.
Before you book in Bishops Stortford
Void depth
Compact cassettes typically need around 250–300 mm of clear void; larger units need more. We measure before quoting.
Access and parking
Town-centre jobs in Bishops Stortford often come down to access — loading restrictions, parking for the van and getting equipment onto a roof. We check this at survey and plan deliveries around it.
Cleaning access
Filters need cleaning regularly, so cassettes should be reachable with a step ladder.
Conservation areas
Historic streets and listed buildings in and around Bishops Stortford are more likely to need planning permission for outdoor units on visible elevations. We check with the local planning authority before work is booked.

Questions about ceiling cassettes in Bishops Stortford
How much does a ceiling cassette cost in Bishops Stortford?
Guide prices in Bishops Stortford run from about £2,295 to £5,350 per cassette, plus VAT. A typical job (shop or restaurant with 2–3 cassettes) costs £5,350–£14,595 plus VAT. We fix the price in writing after a free survey.
Do you also cover Harlow, Hoddesdon and Hertford?
Yes. Alongside Bishops Stortford, we also cover Harlow, Hoddesdon and Hertford. Each has its own page with local guide prices.
Which postcodes do you cover in Bishops Stortford?
All of them, including CM22 and CM23. Give us your postcode when you enquire and we will confirm the visit details.
Do I need a suspended ceiling for a cassette?
Yes, or a ceiling void with access. In solid ceilings a wall-mounted or ducted unit is usually the better option.
Can a cassette bring in fresh air?
Many cassettes have a knock-out for a fresh-air duct, so ventilation air can be connected. The ventilation system still needs designing separately.
