How it works in Chester-le-Street
Check the void
We confirm void depth, grid size and any obstructions such as beams, sprinkler pipes or ductwork.
Set positions
Cassettes are placed against the lighting and grid layout so air reaches the whole space.
Hang and connect
Units are hung on drop rods, connected to pipework and the condensate line. In Chester-le-Street we agree timings around your opening hours.
Test and commission
The condensate pump is water-tested, the system pressure tested and charged, and air directions set.
Local points to consider
Ceiling grid
Compact cassettes drop into a 600 mm grid; full-size units need the grid adapting around a larger panel.
Roof and height work
Flat roofs, high walls and atriums need the right access equipment and edge protection. We plan towers, MEWPs or scaffold before the job, not on the day.
Condensate
Most cassettes include a pump. The discharge still needs a route to a drain, which we design at survey.
Leased premises
If your Chester-le-Street premises are leased, the landlord's written consent is usually needed for external units, wall penetrations and roof access. We provide drawings and data sheets for the request.
Who we work with in Chester-le-Street
- Pubs and bars: cooling for busy bars, function rooms and cellars, sited with neighbours in mind.
- Healthcare and dental: clean, quiet cooling for surgeries, clinics, dental practices and care settings.

In England, systems holding 5 tonnes CO2 equivalent of refrigerant or more fall under GB F-gas rules, with regular leak checks and records; buildings with more than 12 kW of air conditioning in total also need a periodic energy inspection.
Questions about ceiling cassettes in Chester-le-Street
How much does a ceiling cassette cost in Chester-le-Street?
Guide prices in Chester-le-Street run from about £1,995 to £4,650 per cassette, plus VAT. A typical job (shop or restaurant with 2–3 cassettes) costs £4,650–£12,695 plus VAT. We fix the price in writing after a free survey.
Do you also cover Washington, Houghton-Le-Spring and Stanley?
Yes. Alongside Chester-le-Street, we also cover Washington, Houghton-Le-Spring and Stanley. Each has its own page with local guide prices.
Which postcodes do you cover in Chester-le-Street?
All of them, including DH3. Give us your postcode when you enquire and we will confirm the visit details.
Do I need a suspended ceiling for a cassette?
Yes, or a ceiling void with access. In solid ceilings a wall-mounted or ducted unit is usually the better option.
Can a cassette bring in fresh air?
Many cassettes have a knock-out for a fresh-air duct, so ventilation air can be connected. The ventilation system still needs designing separately.
