The steps for a project in Llantwit Major
Check the void
We confirm void depth, grid size and any obstructions such as beams, sprinkler pipes or ductwork.
Set positions
Cassettes are placed against the lighting and grid layout so air reaches the whole space.
Hang and connect
Units are hung on drop rods, connected to pipework and the condensate line. In Llantwit Major we agree timings around your opening hours.
Test and commission
The condensate pump is water-tested, the system pressure tested and charged, and air directions set.
Local points to consider
Void depth
Compact cassettes typically need around 250–300 mm of clear void; larger units need more. We measure before quoting.
Shared buildings
In multi-let buildings, roof space, risers and plant areas are often controlled by a managing agent. We work to their permits and method-statement requirements.
Cleaning access
Filters need cleaning regularly, so cassettes should be reachable with a step ladder.
Conservation areas
Historic streets and listed buildings in and around Llantwit Major are more likely to need planning permission for outdoor units on visible elevations. We check with the local planning authority before work is booked.
