How we work in Prestatyn
Check the void
We confirm void depth, grid size and any obstructions such as beams, sprinkler pipes or ductwork.
Set positions
Cassettes are placed against the lighting and grid layout so air reaches the whole space.
Hang and connect
Units are hung on drop rods, connected to pipework and the condensate line. We keep work areas in Prestatyn screened and tidy at the end of each day.
Test and commission
The condensate pump is water-tested, the system pressure tested and charged, and air directions set.
Local points to consider
Cleaning access
Filters need cleaning regularly, so cassettes should be reachable with a step ladder.
Roof and height work
Flat roofs, high walls and atriums need the right access equipment and edge protection. We plan towers, MEWPs or scaffold before the job, not on the day.
Void depth
Compact cassettes typically need around 250–300 mm of clear void; larger units need more. We measure before quoting.
Leased premises
If your Prestatyn premises are leased, the landlord's written consent is usually needed for external units, wall penetrations and roof access. We provide drawings and data sheets for the request.
Typical premises in Prestatyn
- Schools and education: classroom cooling, ventilation and IT room cooling, installed in the holidays.
- Salons and spas: comfortable salons and treatment rooms despite dryers, lamps and steam.
- Restaurants and cafés: dining rooms that stay comfortable next to a hot kitchen and a busy service.
- Retail and shops: comfortable shop floors, stockrooms and entrances, even with the door open.
Compliance in Wales: refrigerant work falls under GB F-gas rules, and buildings with more than 12 kW of air conditioning in total need a periodic energy inspection (often called TM44).
