Check the void
We confirm void depth, grid size and any obstructions such as beams, sprinkler pipes or ductwork.

Cassettes are placed against the lighting and grid layout so air reaches the whole space.
Hang and connect
Units are hung on drop rods, connected to pipework and the condensate line. In Welwyn Garden City we agree timings around your opening hours.
Test and commission
The condensate pump is water-tested, the system pressure tested and charged, and air directions set.
Local points to consider
Void depth
Compact cassettes typically need around 250–300 mm of clear void; larger units need more. We measure before quoting.
Working hours
Most Welwyn Garden City businesses prefer noisy work outside trading hours. Early starts, evenings and weekends can be arranged and are priced up front.
Cleaning access
Filters need cleaning regularly, so cassettes should be reachable with a step ladder.
Leased premises
If your Welwyn Garden City premises are leased, the landlord's written consent is usually needed for external units, wall penetrations and roof access. We provide drawings and data sheets for the request.
Types of premises we cover in Welwyn Garden City
- Restaurants and cafés: dining rooms that stay comfortable next to a hot kitchen and a busy service.

- Retail and shops: comfortable shop floors, stockrooms and entrances, even with the door open.
- Salons and spas: comfortable salons and treatment rooms despite dryers, lamps and steam.
Compliance in England: refrigerant work falls under GB F-gas rules, and buildings with more than 12 kW of air conditioning in total need a periodic energy inspection (often called TM44).
