Points to plan for in Lichfield
Pipe routes
Shorter, simpler pipe routes are cheaper and more reliable. We plan routes before quoting.
Access and parking
Town-centre jobs in Lichfield often come down to access — loading restrictions, parking for the van and getting equipment onto a roof. We check this at survey and plan deliveries around it.
Refrigerant rules
Since 1 January 2025, new single split systems holding under 3 kg of refrigerant in Great Britain cannot use refrigerant with a GWP of 750 or more — in practice, R32 or lower.
Conservation areas
Historic streets and listed buildings in and around Lichfield are more likely to need planning permission for outdoor units on visible elevations. We check with the local planning authority before work is booked.
Premises we work in around Lichfield
- Salons and spas: comfortable salons and treatment rooms despite dryers, lamps and steam.
- Retail and shops: comfortable shop floors, stockrooms and entrances, even with the door open.
- Pubs and bars: cooling for busy bars, function rooms and cellars, sited with neighbours in mind.
- Gyms and leisure: high-capacity cooling and fresh air for gym floors, studios and changing rooms.
Compliance in England: refrigerant work falls under GB F-gas rules, and buildings with more than 12 kW of air conditioning in total need a periodic energy inspection (often called TM44).
