Points to plan for in Risca
Controls
Door contacts stop the unit running when the door is closed.
Neighbours and noise
Outdoor units near flats — common above shops — need careful siting so noise at neighbours' windows stays low. We choose positions and quieter units with that in mind.
Sizing
The curtain should cover the full door width and reach the floor at the right velocity.
Shared buildings
In multi-let buildings, roof space, risers and plant areas are often controlled by a managing agent. We work to their permits and method-statement requirements.
Types of premises we cover in Risca
- Retail and shops: comfortable shop floors, stockrooms and entrances, even with the door open.
- Restaurants and cafés: dining rooms that stay comfortable next to a hot kitchen and a busy service.
- Warehouses and industrial: cooling for offices, mezzanines, control rooms and temperature-sensitive areas.
Compliance in Wales: refrigerant work falls under GB F-gas rules, and buildings with more than 12 kW of air conditioning in total need a periodic energy inspection (often called TM44).
