Things to check in Smethwick
Access and parking
Town-centre jobs in Smethwick often come down to access — loading restrictions, parking for the van and getting equipment onto a roof. We check this at survey and plan deliveries around it.
Roof and height work
Flat roofs, high walls and atriums need the right access equipment and edge protection. We plan towers, MEWPs or scaffold before the job, not on the day.
Working hours
Most Smethwick businesses prefer noisy work outside trading hours. Early starts, evenings and weekends can be arranged and are priced up front.
Conservation areas
Historic streets and listed buildings in and around Smethwick are more likely to need planning permission for outdoor units on visible elevations. We check with the local planning authority before work is booked.
Compliance in England: refrigerant work falls under GB F-gas rules, and buildings with more than 12 kW of air conditioning in total need a periodic energy inspection (often called TM44).
Common questions in Smethwick
