Resilience
A single unit is a single point of failure. N+1 means one unit can fail without the room overheating.
Shared buildings
In multi-let buildings, roof space, risers and plant areas are often controlled by a managing agent. We work to their permits and method-statement requirements.
Monitoring
A temperature alarm costs little compared to the equipment it protects.
Conservation areas
Historic streets and listed buildings in and around Ely are more likely to need planning permission for outdoor units on visible elevations. We check with the local planning authority before work is booked.

Common questions from businesses in Ely
How much does server room cooling cost in Ely?
Guide prices in Ely run from about £4,250 to £16,150 per room (duty/standby pair), plus VAT. A typical job (small comms room, 2–5 kW IT load, N+1 pair) costs £4,250–£9,650 plus VAT. We fix the price in writing after a free survey.
Do you also cover Newmarket, March and Cambridge?
Yes. Alongside Ely, we also cover Newmarket, March and Cambridge. Each has its own page with local guide prices.
Which postcodes do you cover in Ely?
All of them, including CB7. Give us your postcode when you enquire and we will confirm the visit details.
Why not use the office air conditioning?
Office systems switch off out of hours and are sized for people, not equipment that runs 24/7. A dedicated system is more reliable and cheaper to run.
How often should server room units be serviced?
At least twice a year, because they run continuously. Filters may need cleaning more often in dusty rooms.
